Choices

When you cut open a bagel and you want only one half, what half do you use and what half do you put away?  Do you use the top half that’s rounder and smooth? Or do you use the bottom half that always has the darker rings on it from being cooked? Or does it depend on the type of bagel? Do you use the top half a cheese bagel but use the bottom of a sesame seed bagel? Or is it the other way around? And why do the two sides have to be different? If both sides of the bagel were the same then we probably wouldn’t have to make this choice. 

Just saying.
